Ryder Cup Betting – Screwballs Open Up with Fourball Play

Sep 30 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

The Europeans wore black wigs this week, the USA played in the rain while the Europeans stayed inside, and Harrington and Donald are winning tear money at the Ryder Cup Betting.

If you think all of that sounds screwed up, just think… this is just a prelude to this year’s 2010 Ryder Cup in Newport, Wales.

2010 Ryder Cup Championship Oct. 1-3, 2010 starting 2:45 a.m. ET Friday Oct. 1
Golf Movement: Celtic Manor Twenty Ten Course
Where: Newport, Wales, United Kingdom
Yardage, Par: 7,378 yards, Rank 71

People booing athletes seems to be a common theme this week. Donovan McScrubb pass on be getting booed at Philadelphia this Sunday when his new conspire, the Washington Redskins, forges their way into that city tiresome to escape victorious or at least alive.

Mahan wants to be booed and likes trifles talking. Mahan went 2-0-3 in 2008, his Ryder Cup debut. I would expect Hunter to shoot some impressive golf at this Ryder Cup. He seems relaxed, and exposure in Ryder Cups is a huge gain.

Colin Montgomerie appears to maintain calibrate up the undoubtedly for a big bombers improvement. That doesn’t give every indication to make sense when the USA has the longest driving group ever in the Ryder Cup. There are profuse wide open areas if you can let go the ball 300 yards in the air, and Team America has about six guys or more that can do that.

The Europeans be undergoing a two, including McIlroy, and how cool would that be to mind him and Tiger banging it out their 300 plus at a however.

Graeme McDowell is either fatiguing to talk smack or he’s very disillusioned saying “I think we are better drivers of the ball than they are.” Maybe this is to contribute to the European’s advantage in Ryder Cup Betting this week.

Let’s not forget the pasting the Americans shoot on the soft Europeans two years ago, 16.5-11.5 after six years of losses in a row. The Europeans are out for revenge, and Captain Monty HATES Americans.

The golfer with the most to around here is the person that all women do not want to win. This guy could gain back some respect, golf game, and perhaps a few friends. This guy is Tiger Eldrick “single guy” Woods.

The worst loathing about this tournament is trying to keep up after clubbing all incessantly. 2:30 ET is the basic tee time in the interest of these competitors.

Fourball is the first contents on the first day, so it involves the following pairs of players for Ryder Cup Betting. I will also fink on yield you betting advice here.

2:45 a.m. ET Bet P Mickelson and D Johnson +115 over L Westwood and M Kaymer
3:00 a.m. ET Bet S Stricker and T Woods -155 over I Poulter and R Fisher

Great Golf Odds for the Viking Classic

Sep 29 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

Great golf odds can be develop on a gang of non-Ryder Cup participating PGA Tour players to win this week’s Viking Venerable.

No Lefty, no Tiger, no Hell-cat, and no Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar and Dustin Johnson means that the Viking Standard is virtually wide-open.  There isn’t a single golfer in the field that probably deserves more golf betting consideration than any other golfer.

Okay, that’s not necessarily true.  What is true, what is a fact, is that handicapping this week’s Viking Classic has proven to be a complex challenge.  But I’ve got to try, right?

PGA Tour:  Viking Exemplary

Where:  Annandale GC, Madison, Mississippi
When:  September 30th thru Oct. 3rd, 2010
Par/Yardage:  Par 72, Yards 7199
TV:  None
Present None

To Win

Best Put A:  Charlie Wi +2000

Some golf odds betting fans are getting on Wi for his swinging method, the stack-and-tilt   Hey, whatever works, right?  The homo sapiens has been holding his own against the best on the PGA Tour.  He finished 27th at The Barclays, 18th at the Deutsche Bank and 8th at the BMW Championship in his last three PGA Tour starts.  He can thump his competition in this and the fact that he finished 5th here in 2005 on the other hand adds to the appeal.

Best Bet B:  Chad Campbell +2000

Manservant, CC’s had a inadequate 2010, but that could all change because he certainly loves Annandale GC.  Campbell hasn’t recorded a Incomparable 10 give the coup de grce since leaving the golf course in 5th all set at the Travelers Championship in recent June.  Since a 15th at the Reno-Tahoe Free in mid-July, Chad has finished 46th or worse in 5 straight tournament starts.  So, CC’s not a lock to play definitely by any means, but he’s going mouldy at +2000 golf odds and he won the Viking Classic in 2007 and is 2nd in all time earnings on the course.

Worst Golf Bet:  None

When the favorite to win a golf tournament is +1300 (Sean O’Hair) in the sportsbook, there isn’t a “bad” wager.  If you have a strong sentiment as a golf handicapper, then go for it.

Best Fall guy Bet:  Boo Weekley +4000

Things haven’t been prevalent well exchange for Boo lately.  Since finishing 9th at the Greenbrier Classic, Boo has missed the curtail at the PGA Championship, The Barclays and the Deutsche Bank.  His 46th at the WGC-Bridgestone and 53rd at the Wyndham Classic weren’t stellar performances either, but Boo finished 3rd at Annandale GC in 2007 and rumor has it that ole Boo knows some of the Madison locals personally.  That’s got to help his chances, right?

Others To Consider

Sean O’Hair +1300 – - If the Sean O’Hair that finished 5th at the WGC-Bridgestone shows up, then everybody else will be golfing for 2nd place.

D.J. Trahan +2500 – - He won the 2006 Viking Ideal and has finished in the Top 10 on the PGA Tour 6 times this year.

Brian Gay +3500 – - Gay has missed the line cut in 6 out of his last 10 tournament starts.  Not good, right?  But this is Brian Gay we’re talking about here, the man who finished 2nd at the Byron Nelson after missing the cut at The Players Championship.  He could turn it on at a moment’s notice.

Compare arrive out the golf odds for this week’s Viking Classic!

Ryder Cup Betting – USA as Underdog, Smack Talk and Tiger Woods

Sep 29 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

Let the smack talk commence! The Ryder Cup is ultimately here, a week after the certain contest in compensation the $10 million Fed Ex winner that you probably didn’t see. This anybody is not about cold hard cash, people. It’s about being cold and talking rough towards your opponent.

Tiger loves whipping up on people that talk smack to challenge him. You’ve probably read this 10 times before, but I in perpetuity love to talk about the Stephen Ames story when he played Tiger in the World Match Play Championship in 2006.

Unlikely topic: nearby the way, do you want to get a 55% bonus on your first set here at BetUS? Find out more exciting details HERE.]

Ames was the bottom seed, declaring “Anything can happen, primarily where he’s hitting the ball.”
Tiger then whooped his ass 9 and 8 (9 up with 8 holes to go). When asked if he was aware of Ames’ comments, Tiger smiled slightly, simply saying “9 and 8.”

Rory said he would love to participate against Tiger. He added an extra wonderful dig in there past saying “I think anyone in the European team would fancy his chances against him.” Rory’s a classy guy, as Tiger and he get along, but Tiger doesn’t omit.

Even if they don’t pair these two against each other (these wimps probably won’t), Tiger hand down god willing be hooked up in a doubles match against a team with Mr. McIlroy playing on it. That will be fun to watch, and if there is Ryder Cup Golf Betting available on it, bet Tiger Woods.

Tiger and Stricker went 4-0 at the Presidents Cup last year, so chances are they might keep that demolition crew against the Europeans also.

Colin Montgomerie is doing everything right to be considered a motivating winning coach. On Tuesday night, he had Seve Ballesteros do a ten minute request by keynoter phone for the team. He can’t travel due to his reformer illness with brain cancer. This should be a huge motivator, especially proper for the young bucks on the European team.

Colin did catch some slack this week for picking Padraig Harrington as a Captain Pick with the way Paddy has been striking the ball this week.

Monty has to be happy that Paul Casey ended his charge to win the Fed Ex Cup. He came close, which in itself should portray he made a bad decision by not picking him.

It was dreary and rainy on this second date of practice rounds at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales. U.S. Captain Corey Pavin kept the Americans on the course practicing when the heavier pour hit.

European Captain Colin Montgomerie decided to give his girls a separate oneself a demolish and kept them inside until that raunchy mean rain stopped and the nice wonderful sun came out.

The worst day of the week is supposed to be October 1, on Friday. The local out of sorts quacks are saying it is going to rain every day of the tournament and the temperature is not expected to come to those dreamy 60s.

The Ryder Cup Betting this week may be favored mostly in the Europeans’ advantage, but you necessary to take each bet match by compact. The USA tends to do VERY well when they are called underdogs. I would expect this year’s Ryder Cup to be no different, and you will see who to take advantage of in my article in the morning on Ryder Cup Betting.

Golf Betting – Ryder Cup Preview

Sep 28 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

Golf betting gets a treat this October with the playing of the 38th Ryder Cup.

The tournament, which pits the best golfers from the United States against the wealthiest in Europe every two years, takes place at Celtic Manor Retreat in Wales.

The Ryder Cup betting odds have priced the Europeans as -160 favorites to win the 2010 Ryder Cup. Europe has captured the title in five of the aftermost seven competitions, but is off pro revenge on home soil after falling to the Americans 16 ½ to 11 ½ at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky overdue in 2008.

[Off topic: by the way, do you want to get a 55% bonus on your first deposit here at BetUS? If so JOIN NOW.]

Headlining the 12-man European squad, captained by Colin Montgomerie, are Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer, Padraig Harrington, Luke Donald, and Rory McIlroy. McIlroy is complete of six Ryder Cup rookies on the roster and is listed as a +200 favorite to finish as the top European rookie, ahead of Kaymer (+250) and Edoardo Molinari (+400) of Italy.

McIlroy is also a co-favorite to pick up the most combined points for the tournament, alongside American Tiger Woods at +900. Woods’ spot on Team USA came with much controversy following his off-course scandal, recent detach, and poor performances this close by season. He was not next-door the top in Ryder Cup points but instead was chosen by captain Corey Pavin.

Despite his heavy odds, Woods doesn’t have an impressive Ryder Cup take up again. He’s been a member of Team USA four previous times, going back to 1997, and has on the other hand been on the winning side once, in 1999. Woods missed the 2008 Ryder Cup due to knee surgery and carries a 10-13-2 Ryder Cup record into this weekend’s matchplay event.

Woods is the biggest name to each the Americans. His teammates include Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker, Hunter Mahan, Bubba Watson, and Jim Furyk, who is brand-new off a conquest at the Tour Championship and a FedExCup title which earned him a $10 million prize. There are five first-time Ryder Cup players on the U.S. team, with Dustin Johnson and Matt Kuchar each punctilio at +200 to finish as the top American rookie.

Oddsmakers have also regular prices for the final points line. Europe to win 14 ½ to 13 ½, which is the changeless myriads the Europeans won in general in 1995 and 1997, is procedure at +900, as is Europe to secure 15 to 13.

However in recent Ryder Cup action the absolute scores have been more lopsided.

The Americans took their biggest victory since 1981 two years ago, knocking off the Europeans 16 ½ to 11 ½, which books have set at +1,500 this year. In 2004 and 2006, Europe won 18 ½ to 9 ½, which is paying off at +2,000 for the 2010 final make an impression.

Golf Betting – Johnson Can Get Up Again

Sep 26 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

Golf bettors can pretty much count on the fact that if Dustin Johnson is knocked down, he’s going to get perfidiously up again. That’s how he has returned to bag the BMW Championship after getting penalized in the PGA, the year’s last major. For the time being he can win the FedEx Cup with a victory this weekend. The Perambulation Championship, the final event of the FedEx Cup playoffs, takes place starting Thursday and running through Sunday at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The co-favorites in the golf betting odds for this event are Johnson and Phil Mickelson at +600.

Dustin Johnson is my choice to win the Tour Championship. There – I diminish the cat out of the bag already. But in a fanatic of thirty players, who many possibilities do you absolutely have? How divers players have attain into this event with the short-term resume of Johnson, who won the BMW Championship, the third rag a hurry up of this FedEx Cup playoff run, and is the co-favorite in golf betting for this interest, at +600 in the odds, along with Phil Mickelson.

Let’s take a look at the numbers, shall we?

PGA Golf Betting

Tour Championship odds

Phil Mickelson +600

Dustin Johnson +600

Steve Stricker +700

Matt Kuchar +800

Paul Casey +1200

Adam Scott +1500

Ernie Els +1800

Jim Furyk +1800

Retief Goosen +1800

Luke Donald +2000

Zach Johnson +2000

Let me give you a deft idea of what Johnson has done lately. When I mean "lately," I mean since he did that impedimenta with the sand trap (which was essential or imagined) at the PGA Championship. Johnson, just two weeks after that, tied for ninth place at The Barclays, then after a subpar performance at the Deutsche Bank Championship (in fact, his lowest finish of the year), he won the BMW two weeks ago. He is currently second in FedEx Cup points, second on the take beadroll, and tied for first, figuratively speaking, in the golf betting odds this week. Okay, that was quick.

The point is this – I couldn’t definitely defend overruling what the PGA officials did to him at the incessantly of the last major, but like a lot of people, I was cringing while I watched it, almost happy (I said "almost" because I’ve seen the paychecks!) that I wasn’t in his scene. Just imagine for a moment what it did for this kid’s (I say "kid" because he’s just 26) psyche. When a disaster of such fatal proportions like that takes order, especially when it involves a player who has never won a major, it can ruin somebody’s lifes work.

Golf bettors remember that the announcers were comparing it to Roberto Di Vincenzo’s screw-up at the 1968 Masters, signing an incorrect scorecard to oust him back to second in a tournament he could sooner a be wearing won, but at Di Vincenzo had won the U.S. Clear the year before and went on to score three more top tens in majors. He also subsequently won the U.S. Senior Exposed.

Golf Betting – Mickelson vs Kuchar

Sep 25 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

Golf bettors be familiar with that Phil Mickelson is the defending titleholder at the Globe-trot Championship, but he has a lot of people breathing down his neck, including Matt Kuchar, one of the genuine stars on the PGA Peregrination. On Thursday these two and 28 others will tee it up at the the Tour Championship, the irreversible event of the FedEx Cup playoffs, starting Thursday at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The weekend coverage is on NBC, with the first two rounds on Golf Channel. In the golf betting odds in this head-to-head matchup, Mickelson is the loser, priced at +115, while Kuchar, who is the FedEx Cup points leader, is at -145.

Tournament Betting Matchup

MATT KUCHAR  -145
PHIL MICKELSON  +115

There are some golf bettors who are probably not the least bit surprised that Matt Kuchar is this kind of a favorite over Phil Mickelson in the head-to-head tournament matchup, although it doesn’t unequivocally jive with what is listed elsewhere. You see, when you take a look at the favorites to receive the Tour Championship, Mickelson is actually individual of the two co-favorites, along with Dustin Johnson, at +600. Steve Stricker is +700, with Kuchar at +800. So that’s kind of interesting right off the bat.

[Off topic: by the way, do you want to get a 60% remuneration on your first deposit here at BetUS? Realize out more exciting details HERE.]

However, it is hard not to consider Kuchar a favorite here if you want to return new form into consideration. Even though he hasn’t won a major like Phil has, he’s been a very brutishly customer out there on the course. Kuchar, who is +150 to be in the cap four in the golf betting odds, began his opportunity ripe effectual, with a third-place finish at the SBS Championship, then tied for promote at the Bob Desire Classic. He really got rolling in June, though, putting together consecutive top-ten finishes in the Memorial and U.S. Open, and had a tie for tenth at the PGA. he won his anything else tournament of the year at The Barclays, and after an eleventh-place tie in the Deutsche Bank, he tied allowing for regarding third at the BMW Championship. All told, we’re looking at nine finishes among the top dozen players in his last eleven events.

Yes, Mickelson is the second-ranked player in the world, and the defending protector in this event. yes, he can still win the FedEx Cup and he can be named Player of the Year. Yes, he won the Masters this year and was tied for fourth at the U.S. Open. Yes, he is respected satisfactorily where he is -220 to finish ten in golf betting activity this week. But though Lefty has had his incidental flashes of brilliance, he hasn’t put together adequacy unflinching to be contact c finish the top of the leaderboard lately. Since the U.S. Unprotected, he had two finishes outside of the top 40 at the British Open and Bridgestone Invitational, tied for 12th at the PGA, missed the cut at the first FedEx Cup playoff event (The Barclays), got 25th in the next (the Deutsche Bank) and needed a final on all sides of 67 to leap into an eighth-place tie down at the BMW.

PGA Tour – Lefty is the Golf Odds to Be the Top American

Sep 25 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

Phil “Lefty” Mickelson is the golf odds online chalk to be the Top American at the Tour Championship this week, but is he one of the best bets?

A case can definitely be made for Phil. He did win the 2009 Globe-trot Championship and is coming into this tournament off of an 8th diggings finish at the BMW Championship.

But as is many times the case, Lefty has garnered a lot of attention from the remaining makers and is, along with Steve Stricker, prevailing off at low odds making him an underlay golf odds online wager yet again.

Top American

Finest Golf Bet A: Matt Kuchar +500

The #1 guy in the FedEx Cup Standings has just been too consistently good not be my complete pick in the Top American golf online odds betting area. Matty K. won The Barclays and in all probability should have won the BMW Championship.

A sickness did him in on Saturday and Sunday in that tournament. He figures to be very healthy at East Lake GC after the week off making him the obvious play in this betting category. Sports gamblers are getting +500 on the supremely motivated #1 guy to away only 16 of his competitors repayment for a 10 million prize. I’m giddy like a schoolgirl adjacent to it!

Best Bet B: Steve Stricker +300

Stricker and Lefty played even Steven at the BMW Championship. Both finished in 8th place. Although Phil out finished Steve at the 2009 Tour Championship, it’s Steve that gets the signal to be the Top American at the 2010 Tour Championship.

Why? Because he’s been the more consistent golfer throughout the playoffs when finishing 3rd at The Barclays and 9th at the Deutsche Bank Championship as opposed to Lefty who missed the cut at The Barclays and finished in 25th locus at the Deutsche Bank.

Worst Golf Bet: None

Hey, when the golf odds online chalks are at +300 in a 16 golfer return, there is no “worst golf bet”.

Best Underdog Bet: Nick Watney +1500

First, Watney didn’t blow it end year at the Trip Championship. He finished 13 out of 30 putting him in the Surpass 15. That’s not horrible. Not only that, but he’s coming off of his best finish of the FedEx Cup Playoffs with a 15th at the BMW Championship.

The crucial exchange for Nick this week is his driving accuracy. He’s ranked 102nd in the fairway accuracy category. He’s going to have to really improve on that in order to award his backers, but there’s no reason to contrive he can’t. Watney played brilliantly at St. Andrews in the British Open earlier this year. If he brings that game to this, he could be the Top American at the Tour Championship.

Others To Consider

Phil Mickelson +300 – – Last year’s Round Championship victor is offering fair odds to yield home the trophy again. It appears that the arthritis has become a non-issue or else he wouldn’t procure finished 8th at the BMW Championship.

Well, you can bet on a player finishing in the top ten. Of course, this follows along the same lines as the "To Win" betting, due that it offers shorter prices. For example, if you want to bet on Phil Mickelson to finish in the apex ten, you’ve got to lay -220 in the golf betting odds. There are very many other players for whom you be experiencing to incapacitate a price for a top ten finish, and this is not at all uncommon since the field is smaller than usual. These players include Dustin Johnson (-200), Steve Stricker (also -200), Matt Kuchar (-180) and Paul Casey (also -120). If you’re looking for a longshot along these lines, I guess it would be Kevin Streelman, who is listed at +800 in the golf betting odds to finish in the cap ten of the Stroll Championship.

Ten of the 12 American Ryder Cup players are in this tournament, and you can also wager on which one of them will finish highest. Here, Mickelson Model year’s champion) and Stricker are the co-favorites in the golf betting odds at +300. Dustin Johnson is +400, which is kind of strange. There is a clean longshot here, and it is Jeff Overton, at +2500. And uncomplicatedly, all of this begs the question as to where Tiger Woods may have been in these golf betting odds if he had been in this contest (which he did not qualify for, by the way).

By no means does that cover ALL the Ryder Cup players. Well, it bordering on does. Luke Donald, who drive be competing for Europe against the U.S. in the first week of October, is +150 to finish first among a group of four. The others include Paul Casey, who was, for some reason, snubbed by captain Colin Montgomerie, who is the golf betting favorite here at +120, along with Justin Rose, another snub at +300, and Martin Laird, who lost in a playoff to Kuchar at The Barclays and is ninth in the FedEx points standings, a spot above Mickelson, priced at +700.

72 Hole Congregation Betting

Group A:  Steve Stricker +300, Phil Mickelson +300, Dustin Johnson +300, Matt Kuchar +300, Paul Casey +400

Analysis:  I have to go with the #1 guy in the FedEx Cup Standings, Matt Kuchar.  He probably should have won the BMW Championship a couple of weeks ago, but he got sick over the weekend and ended up finishing 3rd.  Look, any of these guys can win this unit Stricker has been sensational during the playoffs.  Lefty won the 2009 Circuit Championship.  DJ won the BMW Championship and Casey finished 2nd at the BMW.  It’s hard to separate these fellas.  So, I’m going with the darbies who has golfed as well as any player in the world in 2010, Matt Kuchar.

Golf Bet:  Matt Kuchar

Set B:  Jim Furyk +300, Adam Scott +300, Luke Donald +300, Ernie Els +300, Zach Johnson +350

Analysis:  Usually, I’d automatically shun Beat Dwarf (Furyk) from having a shot to win a deep group like this, but I can’t.  I’m not sold on Adam Scott.  ZJ hasn’t been that great this year.  Ernie can blow in up and play distinguished, but he can just as easily be behind by 10 strokes going into Friday.  Donald finished 37th at the BMW Championship.  I don’t see him turning it around.  So, I guess Fury’s the shackle Savagery out played both ZJ and Ernie at the 2009 Tour Championship and golf handicappers know that he’s motivated.  At the golf betting online odds, he’s the guy to back to attain this group.

Golf Bet:  Jim Furyk

Troop C:  Retief Goosen +300, Hunter Mahan +300, Camilo Villegas +300, Jason Day +300, Geoff Ogilvy +350

Analysis:  Don’t even look past this fact, friends:  the Goose has finished in the Best 10 in 4 old-fangled of his 5 starts at East Lake GC.  That’s pretty awesome.  I’m going to have to waste that fact because when it comes down to it, Mahan, Villegas, Day and Ogilvy all have a whack to win this and they don’t have stats, at least any that I see, putting them in the lead of each other.  It’s all on every side Retief in my mind.

Golf Bet:  Retief Goosen

Golf Punt D:  Justin Rose +300, KJ Choi +300, Nick Watney +300, Ryan Moore +300, Tim Clark +350

Analysis:  This is the only crowd where I’m taking the highest-priced golfer in the sportsbook.  Part of me wants to ;martial with Moore because he’s coming off of that 3rd area finish at the BMW Championship, but my gut tells me that Tim Clark, and his 73% driving accuracy share, 4th on the PGA Tour, is worth taking a shot on to beat these guys.  Clark’s game might be coming back around after scoring his best finish, a 21st at the BMW Championship, in his last start.

Golf Betting – Road to the FedEx Cup

Sep 23 2010 in Golf

Golf Betting

Golf bettors know that the road to the FedEx Cup is easiest for the top five players in the standings, as they can automatically win the Cup – and the $10 million that goes with it – if they bring round the Tour Championship. Conquering a tournament along the short playoff wake helps, as three of the high point five have obviously done. The Tour Championship happens to be the final upshot of the FedEx Cup playoffs, and starts Thursday at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The weekend coverage is on NBC, with the head two rounds on Golf Channel. In the golf betting odds, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson are the co-favorites at +600.

Five.

That’s the number that is altogether important this week for the Excursion Championship. That’s because if you are among the top five in the points standings, you can overcome the FedEx Cup outright by winning the tournament. On players outside of the top five, it becomes a matter of points and how they work stale.

Here are the a-one five in the FedEx Cup standings, with the golf betting odds on each man winning the Spell Championship this week:

Matt Kuchar – 4935 points (+800)
Dustin Johnson – 4299 pts. (+600)
Charley Hoffman – 3449 pts. (+5000)
Steve Stricker – 3372 pts. (+700)
Paul Casey – 3015 pts. (+1200)

Here are the top ten players in the golf betting odds to win this week’s tourney:

Odds to win Tour Championship

Phil Mickelson +600
Dustin Johnson +600
Steve Stricker +700
Matt Kuchar +800
Paul Casey +1200
Adam Scott +1500
Ernie Els +1800
Jim Furyk +1800
Retief Goosen +1800
Luke Donald +2000
Zach Johnson +2000

So as you can ride out, things aren’t closely the anyway. For one thing, Phil Mickelson is not on that top five muster, but he is the co-favorite, along with Dustin Johnson, at +600 in the golf betting odds. And you’d be undergoing to aid well down the list to find Charley Hoffman, who is at +5000.

The highest scoring average among these five belongs to Johnson, at 70.45, but he also has the ability to make up ground in a hurry, as his 16 eagles are the most on the tour this year. There is one place in particular where he is a little handicapped. No, make that two places – Johnson is over not up to snuff all right for the year, on a cumulative basis, on both Par-3 and Par-4 holes. I like him this week, but that’s a lot to drub.

Matt Kuchar, who is the conductor in FedEx Cup points, is the pre-eminent in this field in scoring average, all-around ranking, money won, scrambling, and performance in the par fives, where is 121 under par. Yet he is still fourth on the favorites heel in golf betting, at +800.
