Best Horse Racing Longshot on Belmont’s Thursday Card

Horse Racing

The most qualified horse racing longshot bet on Thursday’s Belmont card appears to be in Race 5.   The understanding for that has to do a straws with the expected weather.

There’s a 50% whirl of rain on Thursday in Elmont NY content, that horseplayers might want to key in on races that aren’t on the turf.   That means decision longshots in races that aren’t on the grass.

Easier said then done, of course, but I imagine I may have found the best one on the card in Race 5.

6 furlongs over dirt

4 – Saint Daimon – - 8/1 morning mark odds

This early-presser failed miserably as a close to 7/1 horse racing longshot in his last in the muck at Saratoga, and because of that, I believe he keeps his odds in this.   Saint Daimon moves up in class and may not look like he’s got a shot to win this race, but he’s 6 out of 18 at the haughtiness and 3 out of 6 over a muddy track.   He’s also produced the highest scamper rating pass of anybody in this field during his career and trainer Steve Jerkens has been working Saint Daimon over Belmont Park’s racetrack during the entire begin and summer. The horse is coming dotty of the most qualified out of 48 works at 4 furlongs, in 47 and 1, on Sept. 10th.   Jerkens has this guy keen for his best.   A trick right behind the speed figures to be in the cards fitting for Saint Daimon on Thursday.

3 – Laysh Laysh Laysh – - 5/2 morning line odds

Laysh Laysh Laysh had been running in much better for trainer Sydney Dutrow but now horseplayers find this Whywhywhy ridgling delightful a prodigious drop in savoir vivre from a $65,000 stakes race at Aqueduct in January to this.   I’m not sure how Laysh Laysh Laysh will dry on Thursday.   At first glance, it appears that the horse could very well prevail upon this race with easiness by using the same tactics as Saint Daimon but there has to be a reason why Dutrow is giving up on this guy and reasons for such steep class drops often times aren’t positive ones.   However, is Laysh Laysh Laysh is at his best, then the lounge of these are probably running for deficient.

8 – Wicked Climb – - 3/1 morning line odds

Jockey John Velasquez jumps back aboard this wickedly fast son of Hook And Ladder.   Wicked Climb has 3 first place finishes and 3 second berth finishes out of 12 races at this distance.   The horse is also 3 out of 7 in the spinach and runs for trainer Rudy Rodriguez whose claiming horses win 28% of the time.   Wicked Climb should be able to duel Smokin Hero and Mr. Triester into submission.   From there it’s just a question as to whether or not he can hold incorrect the pressers and closers.

Horse Wagering Strategy

I’m going to bet on Saint Daimon to win and place.   He’s the best horse racing longshot wager to win this race.

I will also wager an exacta keying Saint Daimon over Wicked Climb, Laysh Laysh Laysh and presser American Classic.   I will reverse the exacta for less.

Good luck!
