She won’t run incorrect with the victory in this but Leparoux knows that he’ll need to keep her in a forward position throughout. With Go Ask Alex and Lisa’s Booby Trap dueling on the front end, Leparoux should be able to put Queen of the Creek in perfect position to extract over at the top of the stretch. 5/1 makes her a nice overlay to win this race.

I can’t believe that the horse race betting odds makers at the Spa have listed Cancel out Expect Alex at 6/1 on the – morning line. Go Ask Alex should get the lead in this with Lisa’s Booby Trap in close attendance. I believe that the daughter of Afleet Alex, because of her turf gentility and experience, should be able to keep Lisa’s Booby Trap at bay. Keeping Queen of the Creek from running her down is another story altogether, however. Suffer defeat Ask Alex is still an overlay bet at the odds, though, and must be taken seriously in this.

I love the horse and I unqualifiedly – devotion the excuse behind the horse. I don’t compel ought to to era to tell everybody that story. So, instead I will pronounce that it would be hugely nice if Mr. Snyder won a race with this horse again. She’s been unconditionally brilliant in 4 starts but, and this is a huge but, 3 of those starts were at Finger Lakes. The 4th start was at Saratoga but it was going 6 furlongs over the main track. This is something altogether different for this filly. She’s not bred to be great on boot out, but, who knows? Maybe, just maybe, she’s a freak.
