NASCAR

Sports Betting fans should consideration making a bet on NASCAR drivers to finish in the Top 3 for this Saturday’s Air Guard 400.

The Puff Guard 400 on Sept. 11th is the last race before the Chase, NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Championship, begins.

Kyle Busch, who won Richmond’s spring race, isn’t just the favorite to enrol almshouse the souvenir again this Saturday night, but is also the favorite to finish in the Top 3.

Kyle may be the favorite but he’s not the best bet. I’m looking for value in the Top 3 category fitting for the Affiliated to Guard 400.

NASCAR Betting: Air Guard 400

Where: Richmond International Raceway, Richmond, VA

When: September 11th, 2010 at 7:30 pm EST

Track: Quad-Oval, 1.54 miles

TV: ABC

Transistor: MRN

Top 3

Trounce Bet: Tony Stewart +300

Smoke’s car was easily the best last week in Atlanta and although cars can change radically from week to week on the Sprint Cup Circuit, it’s patent that Tony and crew chief Darian Grubb are gearing up for a terrific Run after run.

Stewart has done very well at Richmond in the past with an average finish of 10.2, 3 wins and 9 Top 5 finishes during his job. It wouldn’t jolt me to assure Smoke at least get into the Exceed 3 this week.

Any gamblers looking to bet on NASCAR this Saturday night should definitely take into thought the fact that Smoke’s odds to despatch in the Supreme 3 are more than look-alike that of former teammate Kyle Busch’s odds.

Second Best Bet: Jeff Gordon +300

Gordo’s won only twice at Richmond during his illustrious career, but he has finished in the Top 5 fourteen times. That’s a lot of Top 5 finishes. Jeff hasn’t won a single race yet this season, but he’s been driving as erudite as anybody in NASCAR in 2010. Remove a look at the information that he’s #2 in the Sprint Cup Standings if you want proof. So, although a victory might not be in the cards for Gordo this Saturday night, a Top 3 finish definitely could be.

Best Underdog Wager: Ryan Newman +900

Ryan’s got to be motivated to do anything he can to catch Clint Bowyer for the 12th and final spot in the Court.

That includes laying it all out and trying desperately for at least a Top 5 finish on Saturday night. I have to like Newman’s odds of 9 to 1 to ending in the Top 3 at Richmond and the fact that he drives seeking Stewart-Haas Racing, that’s Tony’s team, also gives me confidence that he’s going to bring a fast car to the track on Saturday. Sports gamblers could do worse than to make a 9 to 1 bet on NASCAR in the Top 3 category.

Others to Consider

Jimmie Johnson +180 – – His average finish of 17.8 at Richmond makes him an underlay at the odds, but JJ drove indeed at Atlanta last week.

Carl Edwards +350 – - He’s never had great success at Richmond but three Best 3 finishes in the last 5 races makes Carl a speculator in this betting grouping.

Kyle Busch +120 – - I can’t make Kyle either my “A” or “B” bet for the Air Guard 400 this Saturday because of the odds, but he has won the last 2 races at Richmond and Busch is driving with inconceivable ripeness (for him at least!) in 2010.

Clint Bowyer +750 – - However 1 Top 5 finish, a victory, at Richmond makes Clint a longshot in this category, but he’ll be working to protect his place in the Chase and that has to be taken into consideration.
