Emmy betting this year seems less complicated as we size up the field for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. A lot of people think that Edie Falco, previously of "The Sopranos," will take home the prize for "Nurse Jackie," and this she is appropriately priced as the down repay money Emmy betting favorite. Tina Fey and Toni Collette, among others, will look to contest. The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards will be shown on NBC live at 8 PM ET on Sunday (August 29).

There would show to be very little doubt that Emmy likes EDIE FALCO. The falling star of "Nurse Jackie" won the prize for Best Actress in a Drama Series three times as Carmela Soprano, and now she is trying to cross over and be the first to also net this presentation in comedy, and she is the even money choice in the Emmy betting odds to do just that. Nominees for a first-year series often do proper in many Emmy categories, and an Emmy darling like Falco would certainly seem to have an interior road.

TONI COLLETTE, a former Oscar nominee, proved what we just said correct last year when she won this category in the first year of her series "United States of Tara" on Showtime. She followed up last year’s Emmy with a Golden Globe this year, so she certainly doesn’t lack exchange for credentials. And if you’ve seen the plain, you know that she’s got many roles to play. At +180 in the Emmy betting odds, and with Falco to contend with, does she presentation any value for a repeat? I don’t expect so.

LEA MICHELE is the big breakout star of "Glee," and one could not mayhap count her out of things with the wave of nominations this show has gotten (19 in all). She’s gotten a okay for this category in the Golden Globe as well, and so it’s been a pretty good year for her. I don’t think that year is going to include an Emmy win, so the +600 Emmy odds on her don’t really matter.

JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS has been nominated five punctilio years for "The New Adventures of Old Christine," and won it in 2006 for her inception nomination also in behalf of this show. To me, she’s won her Emmy, and others obviously feel that motion too, as she is +1200 in the betting odds for Emmy.

AMY POEHLER gets a nod in return "Park and Recreation," but at +700 she doesn’t offer any value here; she’s just in there to fill out the field, so to speak. Her "Baby Mama" co-star, TINA FEY (+600 in the Emmy betting odds) should be the champ, in my theory, for Liz Lemon on "30 Rock." This is four straight years of nominations for Fey, who won it in 2008. I wouldn’t count out another win for her, and indeed I rely on she gets it, because she is funnier than Falco. But it looks like a lot of credit is being given to Falco for her aptitude to create another remarkable hieroglyph. In fact, the buzz is that Nurse Jackie is so good she makes you forget Carmela. Not likely, but at even money in the Emmy odds, perhaps the winner.
